Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, in a meeting with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, has stated again that he will not meet with Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti without releasing the arrested Serbs, who are accused of the attacks in the north.
He further rejected Pristina's accusations of ill-treatment of the arrested policemen. Vučić said that they are being treated well and are being fed cake, grapes and cola. The Serbian media further report that Vucic stated that when he sits at the table with Kurti, the association will be discussed first.
" Why are they lying, no one has touched the Kosovo policemen, they are eating cake, grapes and drinking cola. They eat and drink well and don't miss anything. Viktori told me that they can't wait to take measures against our country and it is clear that we are not to blame. I will not go to talk to Kurt until every arrested Serb is released ", said Vucic.
We remind you that the situation in the municipalities in the north of Kosovo continues to be tense since May 26, where the Serbs for days continue to oppose the new Albanian mayors of the municipalities in the north from entering the municipal buildings. Tensions escalated on May 29, when KFOR troops clashed physically with Serbian protesters.
The situation worsened even further on June 14 after the arrest of three Kosovo policemen in the north of the country by Serbia. The operatives appeared before the Serbian court and were detained for 30 days.
