After raising the alarm by Albin Kurti, that Serbian forces have approached the border with Kosovo, more precisely near the village of Banjë in Zubin Potok, experts warn that they should be taken seriously.
The head of the Octopus Institute, Agim Musliu, says that such military movements should be seen as preparations for an act of aggression.
"After the failure of the aggression on September 24, 2023 in Banjska, Serbia can now provoke even with official forces", says Musliu.
The statement of the Serbian President Aleksandër Vucic a few days ago that he does not rule out the possibility that Serbia will use force in Kosovo, due to the behavior of the authorities of Pristina and the international community, raised concerns and the immediate reaction of the authorities of Kosovo, but also the international ones.
Kosovo and Serbia have recently hardened their rhetoric towards each other and for this reason, the international community is making efforts to bring the parties to a discussion table again in the framework of the dialogue to implement an agreement for the normalization of relations reached a year ago.
"We are aware that the Armed Forces of Serbia are carrying out regular exercises and they are using them as a pretext to cause deliberate provocations near the border with Kosovo. We are carefully observing whether they will try to cross the border, since even this approach of their military vehicles is not normal", Kurti wrote.
