Optimistic Albin Kurti: Greece may recognize us soon

Prime Minister of Kosovo Albin Kurti said that of the five EU states, Greece is closer to recognizing Kosovo as a state.

Although there are 27 states in the European Union that recognize the Republic of Kosovo as an independent state, there are 5 states that do not. These include Spain, Slovakia, Cyprus, Romania and Greece.

Kurti expressed optimism that his country will eventually manage to convince the strangers.

He emphasized that Kosovo in recent years has made diplomatic progress in terms of communication and cooperation with countries that do not recognize it, in particular with Greece, which is close to recognizing Kosovo.

"Kosovo's desire to enter the EU is not fueled only by its own interests, but that the country would like to contribute to the EU, which is the most important political project for peace since the Second World War," said Kurti .

He also said that Kosovo, given its low operating costs in terms of renting premises and manpower, could be an ideal destination for foreign investors.

He also addressed the topic of digital identity and the spread of disinformation across Europe.
