The former President of Albania, Alfred Moisiu, has severely criticized Serbia's approach to Kosovo, as he appeals to put an end to policies that incite war and destabilize the Balkans.
Present at the conference of the leaders of the Western Balkans, with the theme "Integration in the European Union, challenges and prospects" in Skopje, the former head of the Albanian state demanded that the Western Balkans become safer, as he expressed concern about the terrorist attacks in Banjska , where according to him, it seems clear that Serbia is involved. He stated that efforts should continue for the parties to sit down in talks, while Serbia should be asked for more.
"It is known that we must first make the Western Balkans safer and then talk about integration, as we are all worried about the ongoing insecurity. On September 24, an attack broke out in the Banjska region, not only did it break out, but some incomprehensible things happened, when Belgrade, which at least formally appeared to be taking care that the problems between Kosovo and Serbia are resolved peacefully and fairly, was taking a very disturbing stance . The event that shocked us all was not only not condemned by the leaders of Serbia, but a day of mourning was declared for those who were killed, who were more rightly called terrorists...
So, it seems clear that the Serbian state is also fully involved here. Efforts to get the parties to sit down for talks should continue, only that more should be demanded of Serbia. First of all, it is necessary for Kosovo to be recognized by EU members, who have not recognized it until now. The only way for everyone is talks, bilateral or multilateral, but determination is needed, which has been lacking so far. It is more than necessary for Vučić to make it known that he cannot continue to stay in two chairs. History has shown that this does not help solve problems ," Moisiu said.
