Shaip Kamberi, representative of the Albanians of the Presevo Valley in the Serbian Parliament, has reacted to Demo Berisha's candidacy for the position of Minister of Human Rights, Minorities and Social Dialogue. Kamberi states that Berisha's candidacy is "politically unacceptable and morally shameful."
Kamberi wrote on his social media account that it was "a severe blow to every Albanian who suffered, resisted and sacrificed for their rights in Serbia."
"That appointment is not only politically unacceptable, but also morally shameful, because Berisha is not a representative of human rights, but a symbol of the denial of the national and political identity of the Albanians of Kosovo and the Presheva Valley," Kamberi said.
According to him, he is a former Serbian army officer, part of the structures involved in war crimes in Kosovo.
Kamberi believes that the appointment should not go without reaction from the Albanians of Dolina, the institutions in Pristina, and official Tirana.
Silence about this absurdity is collaboration, said Kamberi.
