Democratic Party of Kosovo MP Memli Krasniqi said that President Vjosa Osmani now has the obligation to announce the election date as soon as possible, after the second failure to form a government.
In a statement to the media after VV's second failure to form a government, Krasniqi said that this result was foretold.
"It has been over nine months since the citizens spoke with their votes and said a big no to Kurti's so-called referendum. I regret that since April 27 I said that this impasse will continue. I have been demanding since then that these elections be held earlier. Today there is nothing left to say except that after this announced failure, the President of the Republic has an obligation to announce the date of the elections as soon as possible so that no more time is wasted. Even the propaganda of the numerous untruths that were tried to be made in the first session does not hold water. Kosovo is not endangering EU funds, nor loans, nor will citizens be left without salaries next year ," Krasniqi said.
