A Serbian citizen has been arrested by the Kosovo police after being accused of the criminal offense of "war crimes against the civilian population" in Kosovo.
According to the announcement, the arrested person is a citizen with the initials SN, born in 1964 in the municipality of Vushtrri.
"He was arrested today, on 18.11.2023, in Jarinjë, as he is suspected of the criminal offense 'War crimes against the civilian population' committed during 1998-1999 in the municipality of Vushtrri", the police announcement states .
The Special Prosecutor's Office, which deals with war crimes cases, has not yet provided information on this case. Police said the suspect is expected to be questioned in the presence of his defense lawyer.
