Hykmete Bajrami has submitted her irrevocable resignation as deputy leader of the Democratic League (LDK). Bajrami has also demanded the resignation of the party's leader, Lumir Abdixhiku.
Bajrami submitted his resignation at the informal meeting of the LDK leadership structures, which was held on Tuesday afternoon, media in Kosovo report.
"Hykmete Bajrami has submitted her irrevocable resignation from the position of vice president and has requested that president Abdixhiku and the core leadership do the same."
"She insisted that the leadership structure has lost legitimacy, following the LDK's results in the early elections of December 28, and demanded that action be taken in accordance with the standard established in the LDK," said one of the participants in the meeting.
