The chairman of the Democratic Party, Memli Krasniqi, has laid out the need for dynamism and reform of the dialogue with Serbia. He said that the two agreements reached in this term should be changed, while he emphasized that the draft statute of the Association, proposed by the EU, is unacceptable for the PDK.
Krasniqi has estimated that it is necessary to reformat the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, since according to him, the process is at a dead end and that in this form it cannot move. ahead.
He promised to engage in the dynamism of the dialogue in the event that the PDK will emerge victorious in the February 9 elections and emphasized that the Brussels and Ohrid agreements can be changed.
" That agreement has room to change, even though Mr. Kurti has made it a state obligation for us. I am convinced that we will manage to have international support to have a process that turns the focus to mutual recognition" , said Krasniqi in an interview for Kosovapress.
He criticized Prime Minister Albin Kurti, whom he said accepted the draft proposed by the EU for the statute of the Association of Serbian-majority municipalities, a document he called unacceptable.
" There is no way that a project that contains in its preamble resolution 1244 and also some kind of arbitration for the resolution of disputes between that association, if it were to be created, and the central institutions, is absolutely unacceptable because I believe that the constitutional framework of the country emerges ours ", said Krasniqi.
When he spoke about the north, the leader of the largest opposition party accused the prime minister of having, as he said, instrumentalized the Police.
" We can say that today there is more police control, there is sovereignty as in the past. During this period, there was an attempt to violate sovereignty with the terrorist attack in Banjska, which was avoided for the sake of the police. and resulted in a new situation, what belongs to Kosovo as a democratic, liberal and modern state is the creation of conditions for all citizens to feel equal" , he said.
According to Krasniqi, the government's current approach has endangered Kosovo's exclusion from the Berlin Process and CEFTA. He concluded that international reports are at the lowest level, due to Prime Minister Kurti's policies, which he called wrong.
