The Vetëvendosje Movement has started the celebration in Pristina, following the release of the preliminary, but not yet final, results of the December 28 parliamentary elections.
Supporters of the Vetevendosje Movement have set off fireworks in the square of Pristina. Dozens of supporters of the movement have gone to the party headquarters, celebrating and dancing to the rhythms of patriotic songs. They have gathered in the center of Pristina, where the atmosphere was accompanied by fireworks and cheers.
"We came from Germany just to vote," a supporter tells A2 CNN.
"I live in Belgium... Albini has worked very well and I expect even better. Everyone was against him, but he still succeeded," says another sympathizer.
"I'm from Germany, we came to visit family, but also to vote. You should vote for a person who doesn't steal. We came only to protect the vote of every free person, not to buy votes with 50 euros. The main work was with the North, the North was liberated, now we think about the development of the country, opening new jobs and economic development. We are disappointed with the other parties," said another sympathizer from the Diaspora.
Albin Kurti's LVV is leading in the elections, as vote counting is nearing completion. With 93.43 percent of votes counted, LVV has 411,120 or 49.99 percent.
The difference in votes between Kurti's party and Bedri Hamza's PDK (which is in second place with 21.07 percent of the vote) is 237,875 votes.
