The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, has invited the leaders of the three opposition parliamentary parties, the Democratic Party of Kosovo, the Democratic League of Kosovo and the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, to a working dinner on Monday to discuss the fulfillment of the legislative agenda for the spring season according to media in Kosovo.
In the letter he sent to the three opposition parties, Kurti states that the reason why he met the heads of the parties and the heads of the parliamentary groups is to discuss the steps to fulfill the legislative agenda.
However, Kurti's invitation has not been accepted by two of the opposition leaders so far, Lumir Abdixhiku of LDK and Ramush Haradinaj of AAK.
The chairman of the LDK, Abdixhiku, has returned the letter to Prime Minister Kurti, considering the invitation to be late to create a climate of cooperation in the Assembly.
"The Democratic Union of Kosovo continues to be always supportive of the major interests of the Republic, although you have never responded to this readiness with mutual cooperation", says Abdixhik's letter to Kurt.
Haradinaj, on the other hand, responded by saying that the topic for which Kurti invited him falls under the responsibility of the heads of the Parliamentary Groups, as he added that if there is any other topic related to the political momentum, then the issue can be addressed at another time .
"As for the topic of this dinner, I believe that this falls under the responsibility of the leaders of the parliamentary groups. Mr. Besnik Tahiri, who leads our parliamentary group, and other colleagues, I am convinced that they will discuss in a collegial spirit and find a language, which will then be implemented in the Assembly by our parliamentary groups. I consider that this topic falls directly within their responsibility and knowledge. Whereas, if there is any other topic related to the political momentum, then we can deal with this issue at another time, in another momentum in order to align the positions that are of national interest", says Haradinaj's letter.
