Kurti: Kosovo open to serious investments
Albin Kurti

Acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti has stated that Kosovo is ready for major infrastructure partnerships and open to serious investments, emphasizing that the country is continuously expanding trade cooperation with Europe, the region and other markets.

During his speech at the French Business Day, Kurti stated that Kosovo now enjoys institutional stability, which he described as an essential element for business development and attracting foreign investment.

"Kosovo is ready for major infrastructure partnerships, open to serious investments and is expanding trade opportunities with Europe, the region and beyond. The Republic of Kosovo is an independent and consolidated state, with a clear European orientation and institutional stability, which is essential for businesses, because it offers public security, predictability and strong fiscal discipline," Kurti declared.

He also focused on reducing bureaucracy, describing it as one of the government's main priorities for improving the business climate.

"As prime minister, I rarely get applause for cutting bureaucracy, but I have noticed that entrepreneurs react with actions: when processes are simple, they turn around; when they are complicated, they send lawyers. Beyond humor, this is the essence of our reforms," he said.

According to Kurti, the Government's goal is to make doing business in Kosovo easier, more transparent and faster, so that companies can focus on construction, manufacturing and exports. He added that Kosovo is well positioned to respond to European companies' demands for reliability, shorter supply chains and sustainable partners.

On the other hand, the French Ambassador to Kosovo, Olivier Guérot, praised the interest of French companies in Kosovo, describing it as evidence of the country's attractiveness for investment.

"Two conclusions are very clearly imposed: first, taking this risk was a good choice, and second, Kosovo is an attractive country for French companies," said Guérot, thanking French businesses that are investing and discovering Kosovo.

He emphasized that Kosovo is a country with energy, youth and a desire to undertake, adding that the country's transformation and modernization are visible.

The French ambassador also underlined that relations between France and Kosovo are very positive and stable, based on strong human ties, especially through the diaspora, as well as on cultural cooperation.
