The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, expressed today in the Assembly that he did not surprise the allies for sending new mayors to municipal facilities. This is after he received the blessing of his partners and the recognition of the elections.
" This chronology of events is important because it shows that the institutions of Kosovo have done their duties. We have acted with the constitutional obligations and the interests of the citizens of Kosovo. This chronology also shows that there was not only consultation, but also coordination with international partners. So, there was no surprise since this was a process with many links, where the last link was the mayor going to his place of work with a bag", said Kurti .
He informed that the sending of the new mayors to the facilities of the municipalities with the assistance of the police was a decision of the security bodies and not a political decision of the government.
He has denied the claims that the police entered the buildings of these municipalities more violently. This is because they do not have to forcefully enter their territory,
" I am saying this because there are many who have called the presence of the police force as a forced entry into the building. There is no need to call it a forcible entry into the building. Because that builder is from the Republic of Kosovo. The police do not enter their building by force. The mayor of the municipality does not enter his own building, it is his office" , he said.
