Elected LDK MP, Ukë Rugova, has reacted for the first time after the end of the December 28 election process.
He said that he is honored to have the opportunity to responsibly serve the citizens of Kosovo in order to further strengthen the state and institutions of Kosovo.
Rugova writes that with hard work and commitment, they will restore the LDK as a winning party just as President Rugova left it.

I thank all 126,102 true LDK loyal voters for the trust they once again placed in LDK.
I thank them for supporting us throughout the campaign, even when the weather was foggy and the temperatures were low, the halls were always filled with loyal LDK activists and sympathizers who were there to give us their support.
Now, as an elected member of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo, with your trust and support, I am honored and humbled that I will have the opportunity to responsibly serve the citizens of the Republic of Kosovo in order to further strengthen the state and institutions of Kosovo.
With hard work and commitment, we will bring the Democratic League of Kosovo back as a winning party, just as our historic President Dr. Ibrahim Rugova left it. Fortunately, the language used by all political entities in this campaign was quite measured, and now that the people of Kosovo have spoken on December 28, 2025, it is time to show political responsibility and maturity to commit ourselves to the rapid construction of the institutions of our Republic.
This is not the time to be self-centered, but we must act responsibly to overcome the daily challenges our citizens face. With respect and eternal gratitude to all citizens for the trust and responsibility given, I will be at your service with the greatest dedication!
God bless the Democratic League of Kosovo! May God continue to bless Kosovo and its lasting friendship with the US and the EU!
