The Anti-Corruption Agency has begun verifying the assets of Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani, with suspicions that it has found significant differences in her asset declarations in the last two years.
The changes are mainly related to the increase in savings.
After the launch of the investigations, in a reaction, the Presidency of Kosovo said that Vjosa Osmani remains open to any verification that is based on independence, impartiality, integrity, law and true facts, but not on smear campaigns.
"President Osmani welcomes any verification from any institution, which is based on independence, impartiality, integrity, law and true facts, but not on smear campaigns, which are well known for what they are happening," said Bekim Kupina, one of the President's advisors.
