
A vehicle in the village of Sudodoll, north of Mitrovica, did not obey the order of the Kosovo police to stop and attacked and hit an officer.
The police officer was injured, while colleagues in the created conditions were forced to use firearms to bring the situation under control.
The driver of the vehicle was neutralized and arrested by the police. During the search in his vehicle, the police found narcotic substances, 2 types of marijuana weighing 2 kg.
The materials in charge of the suspects have been referred to the prosecutor's office for further action.
"Police officers during the performance of their duties, today around 12:40 in the village of Suhodoll- Mitrovica North, during the attempt to stop a suspect car for inspection, the driver of the car did not stop and attacked and hit an official with the car police and also a police car.
Occurring in this situation, when the life of the police officers was seriously endangered, the officers were forced to use firearms to protect their lives and bring the situation under control.
During the developments in this situation, apart from an injured policeman (hit by a car), during the use of weapons, there are no data on injured persons.
The driver of the vehicle (the suspect) managed to get out of the vehicle and run away in an unknown direction. Narcotics were found in the car, suspected to be marijuana (1.5 to 2 kg). Police units, including officials from the Narcotics Trafficking Investigation Unit, went to the scene.
