The Kurti-Vučič clash in the Security Council over the dinar, the analyst

Analyst Sadri Ramabaja commented on yesterday's UN Security Council meeting, where there were strong clashes between Kosovo and Serbia over the dinar.

He emphasized that this meeting proved the fact that within the liberal democracies there are significant differences regarding the positioning of Serbia.

Among other things, Ramabaja added that we are dealing with a clash between the USA and Russia, and the positioning of the Albanians and in this case also of Kosovo is very clear, which is pro-Western.

The analyst underlined that the US has been reluctant to act as Kosovo's lawyer.

"This judgment of this nature belongs to the diplomats, but we must take into account that even in the Security Council, last night there were significant differences. The representative of the United Kingdom called publicly at that table that Kosovo is a sovereign state and has the right to make sovereign decisions. The Director of the Central Bank of Kosovo cannot consult with embassies. This insistence of this nature should not even occur to the envoys of the Sultan of the Ottoman Empire and not to democratic states.

We are dealing with a clash between the USA and Russia, and the positioning of the Albanians and in this case of Kosovo is very clear, pro-Western. I notice a cooling of the US attorney's position. This issue should not be blown. This meeting also proved a fact that within the liberal democracies there are significant differences regarding the positioning of Serbia.

It was repeated there that the Banjsek issue has passed the issue to the security field. Transferring any currency into black bags is part of security right now," he said in a direct link to Euronews Albania.
