Footage recently released by Dukagjini Television reveals the last moments of 30-year-old Agon Zejnullahu, who died yesterday at the hands of the police.
The video begins about 15 minutes before the fatal arrest, and clearly documents the behavior of police officers in relation to the deceased.
Agon's brother, Albani, told Dukagjin that initially the family was not informed of any official report and that an attempt was made to present the case in a way that does not match reality.
"Only after the footage was released by people of goodwill and the media did it become clear what had really happened. It is not excessive force, it is inhuman violence against a citizen who should have been treated differently…," he stated.
As a result, the Kosovo Police Inspectorate has arrested five police officers involved in this case, while investigations are underway to fully clarify the circumstances of Zejnullah's death.
