Kosovo Police Spokesperson, Baki Kelani, has confirmed that today in the morning hours, a message was received regarding a threat with an explosive device at a state facility of the Republic of Kosovo.
Kelani said that upon receiving the information, the competent police units were engaged, which initially established a security perimeter and evacuated people from the premises.
Kelani announced that the Kosovo Police has notified the competent prosecution and police investigators who, together with the relevant units and experts for domination, are taking the appropriate control actions at the facility.
"Today, on 05.07.2025 in the morning hours, an information (by SMS) was received about a threat with an explosive device at the state-owned RKS facility. Upon receiving the information, the competent police units were engaged, which initially established a security perimeter and evacuated people from the facilities. The Kosovo Police has notified the competent prosecution and police investigators who, together with the relevant units and experts for domination, are taking the appropriate control actions at the facility," said Kelani.
The MPs left the Kosovo Assembly building upon the recommendation of the Kosovo Police.
The 42nd constitutive session was expected to be held today.
