This shows that they've been working together all along as a cohesive team, meaning they've just been playing good cop and bad cop with us.
The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, did not like the fact that today Pristina received the status of an associate member of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly and the announcement that it may soon become a member of the Council of Europe.
During a tour of the Combat Systems Factory Complex in Krushumli, the retired Vucic said that all this is happening at a time when Pristina is under sanctions from the EU.
According to Vucic, these actions show that Kosovo and the EU have cooperated all along, and simply played the "good cop, bad cop" game with Serbia.
" The sanctions in which they have been given visa liberalization, associate member of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, this is a step higher than what they were, membership in the Council of Europe... Those sanctions are severe. This it shows that they worked together all the time, as a cohesive team, that is, they just played good cop and bad cop with us ," Vucic told reporters.
Speaking about the fact that Prishtina has received the status of an associate member of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly on the 25th anniversary of the aggression against the former Yugoslavia, he said that the West likes such dates.
" That's why they forced our poor people to hand over Milosevic in Vidovdan, that's why today they decided for Pristina as an associate member of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, that's why they will again choose a special day when they will host them at the Council of Europe " , Vucic said.
He further added that Serbia should take care of its army, as according to him, the time of challenges in the geopolitical sense is ahead.
" Will we be able to position ourselves in the best possible way and in those difficult times to preserve the peace, the people, the country and prevent any possible aggressor, this is a big and important question for us", Vucic said.
As a message to the West, Vucic said that without an army there is no state, therefore Serbia will have to invest more in the army. He further emphasized that Serbia would never join NATO.
"We will never join NATO, we will maintain and defend our military neutrality. You have not condemned Serbia, but you cannot take away our right to live for our country ," said Vucic, among other things.
