President Vjosa Osmani has called the constitutive session of the Assembly, which will be held on February 11 at 12:00.
The Presidency has announced that the decision on this date was made after consultation with the majority of parliamentary parties and taking into account the urgency of establishing institutions, approving the budget and international agreements.
" After consulting with the majority of parliamentary parties represented in the Assembly and considering the urgency of establishing institutions, approving the budget and international agreements, in accordance with the Constitution and legislation in force, the President has decided to convene the constitutive session of the Assembly for tomorrow, February 11, 2026, at 12:00," the Presidency said in a statement.
The session was scheduled one day after the Central Election Commission certified the results of the December 28 elections.
In the December 28 elections, the Vetëvendosje Movement won more than 51 percent, or 57 seats in the Assembly. The Democratic Party of Kosovo took 22 seats, the Democratic League of Kosovo 15, and the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo 6. 20 seats are reserved for communities.
