The Prime Minister of Montenegro, Dritan Abazovic, has spoken about the Kosovo-Serbia situation, saying that the common interest is to resolve the conflict between the two parties in an open conversation.
Abazovic said that the promotion of regional peace, stability and cooperation is one of the main goals of Montenegro's foreign policy.
A day earlier, the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Policy and Security, Josep Borrell, said that he will invite the representatives of Kosovo and Serbia next week in Brussels, in an emergency meeting for crisis management.
"Cooperation between the European Union and NATO goes beyond Ukraine. For example, in Kosovo in recent days it was seen how important this cooperation is and I would like to thank KFOR and the KFOR commander for the work they are doing in the north of Kosovo. You know that there was an incident with the arrest of three policemen from Kosovo and we are trying to understand what exactly happened. We are in close contact with the KFOR Command and with both sides, in order to see what exactly happened that led to this arrest," said Borell.
