The President of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani has sent an invitation to the opposition parties to discuss the situation in the north of the country.
So far, the invitation has been accepted by the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, where it is expected to meet with Osmani at 17:00.
While the head of the PDK, Memli Krasniqi, has refused the invitation, but says he is ready for a meeting only to discuss the extraordinary parliamentary elections in the north, which are required as an "institutional obligation".
His refusal comes because for the tense situation in the north of Kosovo, Krasniqi blames Prime Minister Albin Kurti. According to him, the actions of the Government of Kosovo in the north of the country were carried out without coordination with the allies.
Even the holding of the election process in the four municipalities in the north of Kosovo, Zveçan, Leposaviq, Zubin Potok and North Mitrovica, was due to "Kurti's mistakes", he said, referring to the decision of the Government of Kosovo on the re-registration of cars. from KM license plate to RKS which led to the resignation of Serbian employees from Kosovo institutions.
Likewise, the Chairman of the Democratic League of Kosovo, Lumir Abdixhiku, said "no" to the president's invitation for a meeting. Abdixhiku says that they have followed with concern the recent political developments in the country and the irresponsible approach of Prime Minister Kurti in relation to the USA, the EU and NATO. He added that LDK cannot accept or tolerate clashes between Kosovo and its allies.
