The situation in the North continues to be tense, while there is no talk of a possible peace between Kosovo and Serbia.
Blerim Canaj, former diplomat, commented on the recently created tensions in the north of Kosovo.
In an interview for Euronews, Canaj said that under these conditions, the prime minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, and the Serbian president, Aleksandër Vucic, are helping each other.
"Sometimes the impression is created that both Kurti and Vucic are helping each other. Why am I saying this? In the period when the protests against Vucic started in Belgrade, we fell prey to provocations and the situation escalated here. I think it could have been managed a little differently. I don't know if it is consciously or not, but they are helping each other. If we start from the political theory that populists are inclined to create conflict situations for the continuation of their political-making or power, then from the outside it looks like this to us", said Canaj .
