Serbian President Aleksandar Vučič has resumed maneuvers to prevent the finding of consensus with Kosovo, regarding the situation in the North.
He said that Prishtina should make certain concessions so that the Serbs can participate in the new elections in the north of Kosovo.
According to him, the Serbs in the north of Kosovo are always ready for talks, but they should be offered something in return.
" All Serbs in the north believe that Serbia is their country, not Kosovo. This is the reality ," said Vucic in an interview with Reuters.
He emphasized that the Union of Serbian Municipalities has not yet been formed and that the special forces of Kosovo and the Albanian mayors have not yet withdrawn.
Responding to the accusations of the president of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, who accused Belgrade of interfering in the electoral process in the north of Kosovo, Vucic said that "what these people are saying is terrible".
He said that the prime minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, is not ready for compromise.
" I am sure that Kurti will not invest a single minute of his time and a single drop of sweat to find a compromise solution ," said Vucic.
But as Vucic continues with the maneuvers, the EU has threatened that, like the US, they will also take measures if the 3-point plan is not implemented.
The member states of the European Union have been informed about this week's visit of the special envoy for dialogue Miroslav Lajçak to Pristina and Belgrade where he was also accompanied by the American emissary for dialogue Gabriel Escobar.
During the reporting of Miroslav Lajcak's team to the EU member states, as it is known from diplomatic sources, the possibilities of taking measures were also discussed if the international requirements regarding the steps towards de-escalation are not respected.
