The deputy director of the Kosovo Police for the North region, Veton Elshani, has provided additional details regarding the sandbags that were found on the third floor of a public building in the municipality of Zveçan.
Elshani told Express that the bags were used during the barricades by members of the "Civil Defense" and "North Brigade" terrorist organizations.
He said that they were used as trenches to attack the Kosovo Police, to protect the barricade and to control the main road leading to Zveca.
"The Kosovo Police has received information that in a public facility in the municipality of Zveçan, there are some material things that were used by Serbian terrorist groups during the barricades.
Today, during the checks made by the police, they found that on the third floor of this building there are dozens of sandbags that were used as sticks to attack the police and to protect the barricade and control the main road that leads to Zveçan. This public facility has been used by members of terrorist organizations such as the Civil Defense and the Northern Brigade ," said Elshani.
He says that this shows that the criminal groups were heavily armed and had plans to attack the Kosovo Police if they removed the barricades.
"This is also a proof that the criminal groups were well armed and had plans to attack the Kosovo Police in case they tried to remove the barricades", he says.
