The Court of Pristina has decided to keep Naim Murseli, Granit Plava and Kushtrim Kokalla, suspected of the murder of Liridona Ademaj, in custody for another two months.
The news was confirmed by the spokesperson of this court, Mirlinda Gashi, for the media in Kosovo.
"The measure of detention of the defendants was calculated from 29.02.2024 to 28.04.2024", she said.
Naim Murseli, Granit Plava and Kushtrim Kokalla are charged with the criminal offenses of "Aggravated murder in collaboration", "Aggravated murder", "Unauthorized ownership, control or possession of weapons" and "Agreement to commit the criminal offense of aggravated murder" ".
The serious event happened on November 29, 2023, where Naim Murseli allegedly ordered the murder of his wife Liridona Ademaj.
According to the court, Naim Murseli had initially provided Granit Plava with weapons. The family was traveling by car, when around 20:20 Plava appeared in front of the car, masked, and shot the victim from close range with a bullet in the neck.
According to the preliminary agreement, the defendant Naim Murseli and the children got out of the car and left the scene.
Meanwhile, in his statement to the police, Naim Murseli stated that they had problems in their marriage.
On the other hand, Plava testified that Murseli pressured him to kill his wife and that he was forced to because he had financial and health problems.
Meanwhile, Kokalla has stated that he was not aware of the murder of Liridona Ademaj.
