The ambassador of Germany in Kosovo, Jorn Rohde, reacted after the killing of the policeman in the north of the country, saying that the perpetrators of this attack should be brought to justice.
Rohde said he fully supports the statement of his American counterpart, Jeffrey Hovenier, who earlier said that the US condemns orchestrated attacks on police.
"The rule of law must be implemented in Kosovo. My heartfelt condolences go to the family of the dead policeman and to the injured policemen of the Kosovo Police," Rohde wrote.
Earlier, the US Ambassador to Kosovo, Jeffrey Hovenier, has stated that the US strongly condemns the violent and orchestrated attacks against the Kosovo Police this morning.
Hovenier said that the Kosovo Police has full and legitimate responsibility for the implementation of the rule of law in accordance with the Constitution and laws of Kosovo.
Furthermore, Hovenier added that the perpetrators should be brought to justice and expressed his condolences to the family of the Kosovo Police sergeant.
"They strongly condemn the orchestrated, violent attacks against the Kosovo Police. The Kosovo Police has full and legitimate responsibility for the implementation of the rule of law in Kosovo. The perpetrators must and will be held accountable and brought to justice. "I express my condolences on behalf of the United States to the family for the death of the Kosovo Police sergeant killed in the line of duty," writes Hovenier.
