The Central Election Commission on Saturday evening did not approve the proposal of representatives of the Vetëvendosje Movement to extend the registration deadline for voters outside Kosovo and the possibility of changing the polling place for voters within Kosovo until tomorrow at 16:00, for the early elections on December 28.
This proposal received only four votes in favor. Previously, the CEC secretariat stated that extending the deadline could harm the management of the process. For this reason, the chairman Kreshnik Radoniqi said that he was against the extension, but put it to the vote.
The deadline for registering voters from the diaspora and the possibility of changing polling places ends tonight at 00:00. So far, there have been nearly 80 thousand applications to vote from the diaspora and about 15 thousand requests to change polling centers.
