10 years together, 10 years apart, Ashanti and Nelly reconnect

Singer Ashanti and rapper Nelly are back together after more than 20 years since they were a couple.

The pair were first linked in 2003 and split a decade later. The two confirmed that they are once again together, as it seems that love still remained for each other.

Ashanti attended the MTV VMA Awards on Tuesday night. Nelly was performing and holding a picture of her and Nelly.

During an interview with E! News, Ashanti was asked if she and the "Hot in Here" star were back in a relationship.

After a few laughs, she replied “I mean…yeah. I think it surprised us both. It was nothing planned."
