The court session has been postponed for Luiz Ejlli, who is accused by the Court of Fier of forging documents to justify the money of a person under investigation. The media reports that the hearing has been postponed to September 19, as his lawyer was absent today due to health reasons.
We remind you that from December 26, 2022, Luiz Ejlli is officially a defendant in Albanian justice, specifically by the Court of Fier, as a person suspected of the criminal offense of forgery of documents committed in collaboration.
According to Article 186, the second paragraph for which he was taken as a defendant by the prosecution of Lushnja, referring to the penal code, he risks from 6 months to 4 years of imprisonment, in case he is found guilty.
Justice accuses Ejlli that with the profession of notary, he forged a notarial statement to justify the money of a person who was under investigation. This story starts in 2021 where the prosecution would seek unjustified seizures of the assets of the FA site citizen with legal sources, according to FactCheck.
The seizure requested at that time by the Lushnja prosecutor's office would be accepted by the court on November 28, 2021. A few months after this seizure, citizen FA, who is also a co-defendant with Ejlli, filed a notarial statement made with Notary Luiz Ejlli. On February 25, 2022, citizen FA presents to the prosecutor's office the notarial statement which, according to him, was made at the notary office of Luiz Ejlli on December 16, 2015 and contained the data as in facsimile "No. 663 Rep, No. 213 Kol dated 16.12.2015.
According to the prosecution, this statement had the content of receiving a loan in two installments from 2008-2015 of 151,000 euros and 2011-2015 of 60,000 euros, which the wife of citizen FA had taken to pay off a loan.
And precisely this statement was not found in the archives of the Ministry of Justice in response to requests for information, requests within the property investigation that was being carried out by the prosecution of Lushnja. That was enough for the prosecution to create suspicions that there may be a legal violation and deepened the investigations by revealing the notary office of Luiz Eylli and also the actions taken a few years ago.
The prosecution has searched the archives of the notary Luiz Ejlli for information about this notarial statement and it turns out to be a statement but in the name of another citizen and not at all the wife of the citizen FA, for whom the property investigation was finalized with seizure.
The inconsistency of these statements has prompted the prosecution to open the register of former notary Ejlli, and there it has been discovered that neither before 16.12.2015 nor after this date, the FA citizen had never performed a notarial action at Luiz's office. At the conclusion of this investigation and notarial actions verified step by step, the prosecutor's office says that we are dealing with an intellectual forgery where the writing or seal was not forged, but the content of a document was changed.
