A luxurious wedding held a few days ago in Sanliurfa, in Southeastern Anatolia, Turkey, has gone viral due to the grandeur and wealth displayed during the ceremony.
It is about the marriage of 26-year-old Kahraman Zulfikar Izol, a lawyer and nephew of former AKP MP in Sanliurfa, Zulfikar Izol, to 25-year-old Nazdar Barzani, a lawyer and niece of Iraq's representative in Turkey, Mesut Barzani. The couple crowned their love in a grand ceremony, attended by powerful personalities of the region and thousands of guests.
During the wedding, guests gathered around the bride and groom, throwing bundles of money, which were then collected by employees and placed in special boxes. Attendees competed among themselves to see who would donate the most, while the bride was covered in kilograms of gold.

The bride wore gold coins, a gold sash and crown, heavy pendants, and a diamond ring. Due to the sheer weight of the jewelry, she was forced to sit down after a while, unable to hold it any longer.
The ceremony was officiated by the mayor of Siverek, Ali Murat Bucak. After the wedding, guests from Iraq formed long lines to present the couple with gold jewelry, which they had brought in special boxes.
