Bella Hadid has hired a legal team after her Adidas SL72 sneaker ad was pulled, a source familiar with the situation told DailyMail.com.
Adidas last week dropped pro-Palestinian model Bella, 27, from an advertising campaign for retro sneakers referencing the 1972 Munich Olympics, which were overshadowed by a massacre of Israeli athletes.
Now Hadid is hiring a legal team following the controversy. She is citing the brand's lack of responsibility for its role in the backlash, a source told DailyMail.com.
Adidas recently relaunched the SL72, a sneaker first shown by athletes at the 1972 games, as part of a series that revives its classics.
Bella is still under contract with the company and Adidas has apologised, insisting it did not mean to refer to the tragedy and announcing plans to review the ad.
