American billionaire Elon Musk has decided to change the historic logo of Twitter. Users of the platform have said 'goodbye' to the blue bird, which has been replaced by a white letter "X" icon on a black background. Musk has also shown his obsession with this letter in the other company he owns, which is Space X.
Musk earlier asked his millions of followers if they would agree to change the famous logo. Since Musk bought Twitter in October, the company has changed its business name to X Corp, reflecting the billionaire's vision to create a "super app" like China's WeChat.
Twitter is thought to have about 200 million daily active users, but has not performed well financially since Musk bought the social networking platform for $44 billion.
Musk laid off about half the staff in an effort to cut costs. On the other hand, advertisers have been concerned about content moderation, but also the general uncertainty about Twitter's future.
