Against the genocide in Gaza, more than 4 thousand artists refuse to work with

More than 4,000 film artists, including numerous stars such as Tilda Swinton, Javier Bardem and Emma Stone, refuse to collaborate with Israeli companies involved in committing genocide against the Palestinian people.

Actors, directors, screenwriters and producers signed a statement issued by a collective called 'Film Workers for Palestine'. "We recognize the power of film to shape perceptions. At this urgent moment of crisis, when many of our governments support the genocide in Gaza, we must do everything we can to raise awareness of our complicity in this relentless horror," they said, among other things.

They pledged not to screen Israeli films, not to appear in them, and not to cooperate in any other way with their film institutions. They called on their colleagues to resist silence, racism, and dehumanization, and to do everything possible to end complicity in the oppression of Palestinians. In addition to the personalities mentioned, the statement was also signed by Andrew Garfield, Mark Ruffalo, Susan Sarandon, Olivia Colman, and others.
