Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck were spotted standing very close to each other at the premiere of their new film, "Kiss Of The Spider Woman," on Monday in New York.
The famous actress and her ex-husband made a surprise appearance together on the red carpet. The 56-year-old and 53-year-old were photographed having an intimate conversation with each other, a little over a year since the singer filed for divorce.
Despite their separation, Ben Affleck continues to support his ex-wife in her artistic career.
The actress plays the lead role in the musical film "Kiss of the Spider Woman," while Affleck was present at this surprise event, as a co-producer of the film through his company "Artist Equity," which he founded with friend and collaborator Matt Damon.
Lopez publicly thanked Affleck for his contribution to the making of the film:
"This film would not have been made without Ben and without Artist Equity. It was an experience that helped me get through a difficult period in my personal life."
The film, directed by Bill Condon (Chicago), is a remake of the 1993 musical and is based on the novel by Manuel Puig. In addition to Lopez, the film also stars Diego Luna and Tonatiuh.
"Kiss of the Spider Woman" premiered at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival and was met with great interest for its mix of drama, music, and strong emotional messages.
The couple, who divorced in early 2025, were heavily commented on by social media users after this appearance together:
"God... they're going to start over. They're going home together."
