There are actually a number of visionaries of the past who are remembered for their ability to predict future events.
Among them is the blind Bulgarian Baba Vanga, who, although she died in 1996, is believed to have predicted several world events such as the September 11 attacks, the death of Princess Diana, or the election of Barack Obama as US president.
While the French astrologer Nostradamus, who lived in the 16th century, is believed to have predicted the rise of Adolf Hitler to power, the Great Fire of London and the devastating explosions in Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
They are reported to have also given predictions for the year 2025, for which Nostradamus had visions of "an underwater empire joining civilization and a dark cult taking world power".
While Baba Vanga is believed to have said that "telepathy will become something real", starting from the following months.
A common prediction for this period by both characters is a war that "will break out in Europe".
Nostradamus has said that 'those from the lands of Europe' will engage in cruel wars,' mysteriously adding that: 'Ancient diseases will be the worst enemy'.
Baba Vanga has made a grim prediction for 2025, saying that the conflict in Europe will kill many people.
However, the two fortune tellers preferred to give only omens of tragedy, so not everything reported should be taken as a basis.
It is not known how the visions came to the old soothsayers, but Baba Vanga has often spoken of alien appearances at well-attended sporting events.
While Nostradamus has previously said that important cities will be submerged by water, and a new leader who will emerge will announce a "New World Order", which is actually very similar to the ideas of conspiracy theories that are considered to be untruths from power.
Another Baba Vanga prediction is that Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton will win his eighth title, even though when Baba Vanga died, Hamilton was only 11 years old.
