Britney Spears is filing for divorce from her partner, Sam Asghari.
In the divorce petition, Sam cited "irreconcilable differences" and requested that the artist pay spousal support and his attorney's fees. He considered the date of their separation to be July 28, writes Page Six.
Asghari was said to be "trying to negotiate concessions beyond his marriage and threatening to go public with extremely embarrassing information about Britney if he is not paid."
Meanwhile, she has closed her official Instagram account.
Rumors that the 29-year-old and the 41-year-old were in a marital crisis have been circulating for a while amid reports that the two had been living apart for a long time.
After filing for divorce, Sam is allegedly threatening to leak 'extremely embarrassing' information about Britney Spears if she doesn't agree to renegotiate their prenuptial agreement. He is demanding a higher salary than they had originally agreed to in exchange for his silence.
It is not yet known whether Sam will be able to get some of the money.
