A tragic moment marred Oasis' concert on Saturday night at London's Wembley Stadium, when a man lost his life after falling from the stadium's upper deck.
According to the Metropolitan Police, the incident happened at around 10.20pm and police and paramedics immediately attended the scene. The man, aged approximately 40-50, was found unconscious and pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the circumstances of the fall and are appealing for information and cellphone footage that may have captured the incident. "The stadium was packed and we believe it is possible that some people present either witnessed the incident or unknowingly filmed it," the police statement said.
The tragic incident occurred during the band's fourth of five scheduled appearances at Wembley as part of Oasis' massive reunion tour that began in early July. The band is expected to continue their tour with stops in Scotland, Ireland, Canada and the United States, before returning to London for two more shows at the same stadium.
The man's identity has not been released at this time, while investigations are ongoing.
