The Basic Court's decision to order 30 days of detention for singer Besart Kelmendi, known as Gjesti, has caused numerous reactions in the Albanian entertainment industry. While the justice institutions continue legal proceedings, the community of artists has begun to openly express support for their colleague.
One of the most notable reactions came from rapper Tayna, who chose to express her opinion through an Instagram post. She shared a photo of the pair hugging on stage, giving the message a very personal and emotional tone. Tayna emphasized that artists' actions or "mistakes" are often harshly judged from the outside, but few people understand the pressure and professional injustices that can lead them to such a reaction.
"Many people judge the reaction, but few know what drives an artist to that point. When your work, your voice, and your sweat are not respected, the pain becomes revolt," Tayna wrote, giving the public a glimpse into the hardships that occur behind the cameras.
For Tayna, the issue of the Gesture is not just an individual problem, but a challenge that affects many creators in the music industry. She called for solidarity among artists in such critical moments: “ Artists deserve justice for their creations. At the end of the day, we go through similar challenges… and these are the moments when we need to support each other together.”
