Daniel Rotar, known on YouTube as 'Zone of Tech', ended up in a trauma hospital in the US after his Samsung Galaxy Ring began to swell dangerously on his finger. The incident occurred during a trip, as the device's battery began to swell and squeezed his finger to the point where it could no longer be removed.
Despite attempts to remove it with soap and water, the condition worsened and Rotar was not allowed to board the plane. At the hospital, doctors used ice and medical lubricant to remove the ring without further damaging his finger. He shared everything on the X network, where he also posted photos of the damaged device, declaring that he would not use smart rings again.
After the incident, Rotar discovered on Reddit that other users had also reported similar issues with the Galaxy Ring's battery. Some claimed that Samsung had offered free replacements for the affected devices.
Samsung responded by saying that customer safety is a priority and that the case is rare. The company has taken the device for investigation and has compensated the YouTuber for unexpected expenses.
