In the Balkan youth championship, which is held in Cazin, Bosnia-Herzegovina, the referee Mladen Vukovic from Banja Luka saved the life of a competitor from Albania, 18-year-old Erisa Brahimaj.

The "Srpskainfo" portal reports that the contestant has run out of breath, nor did she hand over the match to her opponent from Romania in time. A tragedy could have happened because of this, but luckily Vukovic was nearby and he stayed calm enough to know what to do.

Everything happened extremely quickly and Vukovic, who is also a commander at the Police Academy at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republika Srpska, as well as a trainer at the Borac judo club, saved the young girl's life.

" I saw that she was not showing any signs of life and I was aware that everything could end fatally if I did not act immediately. I did CPR and heart massage and I cannot describe to you the relief I felt when I saw that it was mentioned and she started breathing You can't even imagine that feeling, I thanked God that everything ended as it should  ," Vukovic told "Srpskainfo".

Believe it or not, this is the second time he has turned out to be a hero in this way, after in 2013 he saved a woman who jumped into Vrbas. Vukovic then jumped behind her and managed to help her. Of course, this move from the Balkan championship will not go unnoticed and will be proposed for the "fair play" award, confirmed the organizers of the competition.
