Elbasan got a very important victory against Apolonia in the 4th week of the First Category and joined Bylis in the leadership of the championship. As it happened with Vora a few weeks ago, the yellow and blue triumphed with a sealed reversal in extra time of the match.
The yellow and blue started the match in the best possible way with a blunder by the goalkeeper that gave Trifon the advantage for his friends. Just one minute later, it was Maksuti, who doubled the numbers for Fierak, making the game more difficult for the home team.
But the yellow and blue reacted and reduced the gap thanks to a penalty from Karakaç, with the first part of the game ending with consecutive attacks from the Elbasan team,
The same picture was repeated in the second, with the home team looking for the goal at all costs and with the friends defending and counterattacking. Kasa was the one who equalized the numbers with a masterful shot in the 63rd minute of the challenge, but this did not stop the home team's attacks.
The goal came only in extra time, when it was Kasa again who sent the ball into the net after a free kick surprisingly executed by the locals. That was enough to give the latter the 3 points and send them to the top of the championship standings which sees them as the main contenders for promotion to the elite.
