The President of the Albanian Football Federation, Armand Duka, in an interview for "Sport News" on "News 24", after analyzing the season, gave an answer to all those who are dissatisfied with ticket prices.
In the conversation with Trevisa Tufa about the ticket lottery, Duka emphasizes the fact that the goal is their equal distribution and at the moment, there is no other way to achieve such a thing.
President, you seem calm, in shape, was this a positive year? Did the AFF earn a lot of revenue?
I think this is something positive, every year the income level increases and consequently there is even more business.
The biggest challenge, at least for the organization, I think was the match with Serbia. Were you afraid for a moment? Or what would you highlight?
If I were to rate it from 1-10, I would give it a 7. The commitment has been maximum. The commitment has been maximum from the State Police and everyone. I said, 70 percent was well done.
I believe that you have also gained a lot here as a Federation. Financial income, but also a good image in UEFA and FIFA. However, it seems like we are losing fans, president. There is a lot of dissatisfaction with the ticket prices. How will you solve this part, the lottery with the tickets or even the expensive prices...
There will undoubtedly be satisfied and dissatisfied people. It is important that everyone has an equal chance to be in the stadium. Prices are a market issue, if the market accepts them, the demand is great. To be a good man, we can make tickets free of charge, but this team of ours cannot live without money. We take zero money from everyone. The only sources that we try to do something with are to have the income from tickets, television rights and sponsors, which we have increased 100-fold.
To be a populist, I would like them to be zero lek. Today we don't know any other way to be impartial. I know that this hurts some, I know that there are groups that have always supported the national team, but now this will continue like this.
