The clash with the KOKSH and the change in the sports law remains a hot issue.
The President of the Albanian Football Association, Armand Duka, expressed his point of view on this topic in an interview with "Sport News" on "News 24".
Duka said that the changes to the law were not only approved without consulting the right people, but were also made in haste. He hinted that the Federation will not give up and will make efforts for the good of the sport, until the end.
President, it seems to me that you lost the most important match, the one with the NOKSH, the changes proposed by Fidel Ylli were approved. So, the parliament voted for the NOKSH, not you. Does this fact bother you?
I am concerned about the fact of how a law is prepared, the fact of how it is then approved and ultimately became law. Without any consultation with any sports interest group. I don't even know what the urgency was in these hot days, who had requested this emergency except the candidate for president of the Albanian Football Association, to be approved now, in these summer days. One of the arguments I gave to the Minister of Education was that, Albania, we claim to go to Europe, to go to Europe we must approximate the legislation to the legislation in Europe. Why we need to make an emergency to make a legal change, it has changed many times, every time the interests of people who have political influence change. We will be on our way to Europe, to consult the law with the European partners where we will go, with UEFA and FIFA, let's make a law that serves sports. They have not listened to us, but this does not mean that we will stand idly by.

We are not concerned about the interest of our institution. The law provides for giving the Olympic Committee the right to organize activities. One thing that this law already changes is the previous behavior. By law, you are called a federation when the state gives you the right to organize an activity. The state has the right to remove this right. Now it has created a parallel organization, where the Olympic Committee has the right to organize. If the Olympic Committee wants, tomorrow it will organize a wrestling or cycling championship. The law also provides for the creation of a sports arbitration court, where the parties in the conflict will be athletes, clubs, the Federation and the Olympic Committee itself. The latter will appoint the arbitrators, with the ministers claiming that Fidel does not appoint bad arbitrators. Let's hope.
A more personal question. Is there anything personal between you and Mr. Fidel Ylli? It seems to me that the only thing that unites you is the law on online betting?
There is nothing personal, except for different concepts for organizing KOKSH. We have given our position on betting, which may have coincided with the position of others. We have said that while this activity is carried out in black, let's turn it into white and let there be a football benefit. There is no coordination with anyone else.
