
Carlos Alcaraz made history today with an epic victory in one of the most important tournaments in world tennis, Wimbledon. The Spanish boy, at the age of 20, defeated Serbian Novak Djokovic in the final after 5 sets.
The latter was chasing many Grand Slam tournament records. He completely dominated the first set with 6-1 numbers, giving the impression that he had the match under control. But Alkaraz woke up in the second and won it 7-6 to get back into the match.
The third set was extraordinary, with a range that lasted 26 minutes and where the boy showed all his talent, breaking the opponent psychologically, to win the set 6-1. The Serbian responded in the fourth set, winning 6-4 to take the match to a heated final.
In the final set, Alcaraz dictated the pace and stole Djokovic's serve, then made sure to hold the advantage until he took the 6-4 and full match success after almost 5 hours to become Wimbledon's age one champion very young, as it is now number 1 in the world ranking.
