The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) has today submitted to FIFA a preliminary list of 55 players selected by coach Carlo Ancelotti for the 2026 World Cup. The final list of 26 players will be announced on May 18. Brazil will play their first group match on June 13 against Morocco. Under FIFA regulations, they can make substitutions for injuries up to 24 hours before the opening match.
The main news is the inclusion of Neymar in the list of 55 players. The Santos star is making one of his last steps to be part of the last World Cup of his career. All of Brazil has mobilized for him – from singers to former footballers and teammates. Ancelotti has been clear: Neymar will only be under his orders if he reaches 100% physical form.
Estevao in serious doubt. The young Chelsea striker has suffered a muscle injury and is struggling to reach optimal form for the group stage. This has caused debate within the CBF and Ancelotti's technical staff. However, he is considered a different talent around which the future project can be built (perhaps with an eye on the 2030 World Cup).

He is a strong contender for the final list, along with João Pedro, Matheus Cunha, Igor Thiago and the untouchables like Vinicius Jr., Raphinha, Luiz Henrique and Gabriel Martinelli.
