A corruption and bribery scandal has led to the arrest of the former CEO of Inter, Liu Jun, who is currently also the chairman of the Chinese Super League.

In the past, Jun was also the chairman of Jiangsu Suning and for some time he was the CEO of Inter in 2016, when the black club was bought by Suning Holding Groups. A 6-month investigation into Chen Xujuan, who is also the current chairman of the Chinese Football Association, has led to a chain of arrests.

Along with Liu Ju, others have been arrested, while senior officials of Chinese football, the directors of the executive committee and the former coach of the Chinese national team, Li Tie, are also under investigation.
