Another athlete dies in the war: Eternal glory to the hero, who gave his life for Russia

Artjom Gvozdik lost his life in Ukraine while carrying out the combat mission. The hockey player died on August 23 at the age of 35 in Zaporizhia.

He was a hockey goaltender, very talented and promising at a young age. Artjom Gvozdik served as a member of the Russian Air Force, and in the town of Piaskov coached children, teaching them the magic of hockey.

During his hockey career, Artjom Gvozdik was a member of the Tambov, Sokol (Novocheboksarsk) and Altai (Barnaul) teams.

"Eternal glory to the hero... He gave the most valuable thing for his homeland - his life," writes the Telegram channel of Novocheboksary Sokol, for which the goalkeeper played in the VHL championship in the 2015-2016 season.
