Dani Alves remains in prison, the Barcelona court rejects the request to change the measure of arrest

For the second time, the court of Barcelona has rejected the request of the Brazilian footballer, Dani Alves, for release from prison. The legal representatives of the Brazilian defender had asked for his freedom until he was tried for the case of rape for which he is accused, giving assurances that he will not escape.

In fact, they reported that he wanted to be near his children in Barcelona and therefore had no reason to worry that he would try to disappear. However, the court answered negatively and thus the 40-year-old ace will remain in prison until further notice.

Alves is accused of raping a 23-year-old girl in the toilet of a nightclub in Barcelona on December 30. Since January 20, due to the aggravating evidence that has come out against him, he has been in custody, while the first request for release that his side presented in May was rejected.
